Visiting Philadelphia? Check out These Amazing Coffee Shops
Couple months ago, I made Philadelphia my home and Oh Boy I am still adjusting. To my surprise, it was still snowing first week of Spring and I fell quite a few times on the icy snow. Anyway, I now can feel the “real” Spring; it is time to visit some places without worrying about the next winter storm. Bellow , are two amazing coffee shops to visit if Philadelphia is your next destination.
I had more than two on my list to visit but I could not get all done in one day. Therefore, I will definitely write another blog post. These places have such amazing stories behind them and they are worth sharing. Pay attention while I am sharing my moments with you.
Gran Caffe L’Aquila
Located downtown and their featured blends are from celebrity coffee roaster Michele Morelli. Depends on the type of coffee you have, the blends could be dried plum, apricot, hazelnut and much more. In addition, their menu is consisted of pasta, various baked pastries and sandwiches. I had a croissant topped with almond. Mm mm , it was flaky on the outside and moist in the inside; and this was the best I had. Since I was already in the mood to return home, I had a warm camomile tea. If you don’t buy anything else , I hope you get this almond croissant. 1716 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103
La Colombe Coffee Roasters
La Colombe’s gorgeous Fishtown location is the place to be and it is pretty my dinning style. The open space, the rustic furniture and the barn house feel is everything. I had a nice cup of coffee, eggs with baguette ; just the way I like to cook it. However, my favorite thing was the blueberry muffin. They have a variety of blends that are rich in flavor from counties like Haiti, Mexico, Colombia, Guinea, Ethiopia and much more. Furthermore, La Colombe is a proud supporter of Everytown For Gun Safety and every time you buy the Lyon blend coffee, part of it will go towards gun safety. They have location in many other states, four in Pennsylvania, but the one I visited was: 1335 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125
