There’s Always Room For Pancakes. Birthday Recap

Another year of blessing and grace. The morning of my birthday I woke up to my phone ringing off the chain that I had to put it on silence because I start working as early as 6 AM. I had tons of birthday message all day long. I also had lots of prayers over the phone especially from my mom and dad sending blessing and good wishes my way. My birthday was a month ago and I can’t believe I didn’t get to share how blessed I am to be alive. But anyway,

I had a long day at work of course, but my dear friend from Philly did not hesitate to go out with me that night even for just 2 hours. I had 2 options! Shower and go to bed in order to rest for my next 6 am shift or call my friend to go eat and I was so glad she responded. We spent some time at the Moshulu restaurant which is this cute renovated ship with outdoor bar at Penn’s landing. Then we walked by the Delaware River where there are plenty of street food and other restaurants. We also stopped by Keating’s Rope & Anchor restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious and affordable. We had quite some laugh, took lots of pictures and really enjoyed that 2 hours to the fullest.
Personally, the precious gift of celebrating my birthday is that I got in a car accident just three days prior; I got injured but stable enough to not be in the hospital, I got to be home for just couple days and returned to my daily routine. Therefore, It was the best birthday I could ever ask for. But for a minute, I thought that I am getting old since every inch of my body been hurting lately; a lower back problem, knees have been bothering me and I am just in my twenties. PLEASE, LORD, SEND HELP because I don’t need this kind of problem right now!!!
But overall, birthday was great. The next day I picked up my cake from The fancy crumb LLC which I gained 2 pounds from because it was delicious. I also had a birthday shoot, ate lots of PANCAKES right in bed with nuts, almond and topped with banana( you can find some at IHOP in case you don’t want to make them; clearly the best you will have). Lastly, celebrated my fellow colleague’s birthday and get a full eight hours of sleep; something, I have not done a very long time.
Away from family and friends; I still had the best birthday ever. It is now a new year and I am grateful.
