Four Free Apps That Will Save You Money

Saving more money is always necessary. Either you save money for rainy days, college funds, leisure or retirement; it will build up over time. Sometimes, you probably say that you don’t have any money to save because saving in your mind is only a thousand dollars readily available. However, saving can be done through your everyday routine and purchases. If you save just a dollar a day for a year that’s $365; therefore, every penny counts. Today, I’m sharing with you four free saving apps that I am currently using.

The problem sometimes is not keeping up with the apps and rather use your cash or card; trust me, I still struggle a bit.  Nevertheless, once you start using them over time, it becomes a habit.  If you enjoy being in the kitchen and rather a homemade meal than eating out; you will spend a lot of money on groceries. The good part is; if an app is giving me cash back for buying with affiliated retailers, what do I have to lose? Obviously nothing!!!

Ibotta

I use the Ibotta app mostly for grocery shopping and the good thing about it; it will scan the store within your zip code or city. For instance; I am not in Florida, therefore, there’s no ”Publix Store” showing on the app but I’ll find Walmart, Save A Lot, and ShopRite.  Shop, save and get cash back on stuff you’re already buying. From produce, hygiene products to movie tickets. Before you go shopping, select what you want to buy and scan your receipt for cash back. You also get $10 for trying Ibotta. Click Here

Available on: AndroidiOS

Ebates

Ebates is managed as an affiliate marketing site, which gives you access to over thousand affiliate stores, including  Amazon, HP, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target. You may not be a big shopper and hate going to the store; so why not getting cash back online? It’s like getting paid to shop online. Note that specific cashback amounts vary by store. Sign up to buy from your favorite store

Dosh

Dosh is available for both Android and iOS. It is one of the latest cashback apps that dominate the app stores. Compared to other apps, you don’t have to scan receipts or find coupons to get cash back. The only thing you need to do is to link your cards and automatically get cash back without noticing.  Dosh has fewer stores compared to Ebates but it will definitely do the trick. I  mostly use Dosh at my local restaurant where I get breakfast coming from my overnight shift. I linked both debit and credit card; however, I use mostly the credit card since I get not only cash back from Dosh but from the credit card company as well.

 Digit

I remember seeing a post on Facebook about Digit, and I gave it a try. For the last seven months, I save thousands of dollars: way more money than transferring funds to my saving account. Digit does the thinking and acting of saving money for you without noticing. You simply connect your Digit to your bank account; then the app takes a look at your current funds and puts aside some money in an FDIC-insured Digit account.

When you sign up for Digit, you can create monthly and yearly goals. Digit will determine if you can’t spare any money and won’t withdraw anything from your bank account. It will even send you a text message saying:” Due to low balance, it will not take any money”.  The app is free for only 100 days, then becomes $2.99 a month. In addition, It gives you the ability to earn one percent savings bonus that is paid every three months. Let’s say you have an emergency; Digit can automatically transfer back to your checking account whenever it gets below a certain amount or you can text “withdraw” and the amount will go back to your bank account. You can pause and restart the saving app whenever necessary.  You also get money for reffering your friends. Considering Digit? Click Here.
