Learn How To Make Your Own Marbled Vase With Nail Polish.

I have tried this DIY before and it went so well; but the fact that I did not record the process, I will share the tips with you. It is also very simple and easy to do. If the vase on your dining or coffee table is a bit plain or boring and you want to add a little color to it instead of getting one for $20 at your local store; this is for you.  Seriously, it may only cost you between five and ten dollars.  I Remember seeing a video on youtube a while ago and I was so excited to try it myself. It is amazing what that nail polish can do…

Now let’s get to it. All you need is a glass vase from Dollar Tree, spray paint, and nail polish; however, if you need a fancier vase with an odd shape, you might want to go to Ross or Walmart. The nail polish can also be found at Dollar Tree. It is up to you decide which color you want your vase to be. I chose three different colors because I wanted them to match my throw pillows and curtains from the living room.

I bought the glass vase at Walmart for $5 instead of Dollar Tree. I absolutely love the size because it is perfect for fresh flowers.  I bought a bouquet of fresh flower for $5, three nail polishes (light gray, yellow and lilac) for $3 and white spray paint for a dollar. The total cost was $14 with tax.

DIY MARBLED VASE

To start, I spray painted the glass vase white. I did the outside of the vase and just the inside top where it could be visible if the vase is empty, and let it dry for 10 min.

Then I  used a huge bowl, larger than the vase to add water. It is preferable to use your sink as long as you have something to hold the water. I got my nail polish out, added the different colors and dip the vase in the water in between each color( best outcome is to dip the vase while turning it so the color can spread throughout and remove it immediately).

Once I got all three colors added, I placed my vase on a paper towel to dry and take no time to put in my fresh flowers. The nail polish sticks on the surface of the vase in less than 3 minutes, creating a beautiful marble effect.

Note: The water should be room temperature.

If you want a vibrant marble vase; you can more nail polish drops into the water.
