My fat advice on 9 months of blogging despite a hectic life.
Blogging while having a hectic life or schedule can be really exhausting. However, you should know that building a blog requires a lot of work and passion. You have to make even a short amount of time doing something every week for the blog. Building a blog will require you to meet new people, do more research, fall in love with photography and use social media more often; and all that is not easy at all. One thing for sure, I wouldn’t trade this for anything because I get in the habit of writing more as well as collaborating with awesome individuals.
You may work your 9 to 5 or be on call as a first responder professional which can be hectic. Personally, every time I got some free time I write three sentences or a paragraph until that blog post is done because I can work up to sixteen hours a day. In my 9 months of blogging, I took a 4 weeks break from blogging because I was going through a crisis myself but I made use of what was already on the blog or collaborated with amazing guest bloggers in order to stay active as much as possible.
Recently, I had two friends asking me how do I do it. Honestly, it’s hard to stay on top of your game but I am not where I used to be when I started blogging 8-9 months ago. With all that being said; here are my top pieces of advice on how to stay on top of blogging despite living a hectic life.
1- Free up time so you can rock out your blog especially if you don’t have the weekend at all. By cutting down your TV time from 30 minutes to an hour in order write a blog post.
2- When you are not writing, brainstorming topics or ideas while doing your everyday shores. Also, if your phone is on hands, create a quick note so you can come back to later.
3- Guest posting: meet or communicate with other bloggers. They would love to collab with you and you can also return the favor.
4- My blogging coach once said that it is important to blog at least twice a week. Trust me, it is true because your views increase the more contents you have. However, in case you can’t keep up, try to share a blog post once a week.
5- Share and comment on other bloggers; and I am sure a lot of them will definitely do the same.
Hope these tips help you. Until next time.
This is some great tips that I needed. I will definitely try to be more mindful and follow them. Thanks for sharing
Hey beautiful. No thanks to you for reading 💓
Yes, having a blog while working full-time is really stressing at times. But I love what I do and this makes me sane and keeps me going forward. 💗 I just love your post!
Thanks Monica. It sure can be stressful but worth it
This was a great blog post! Even for a beginner blogger like myself, it definitely helped to guide me. Thank you!!
Hello Kattiah. It is. Happy you found this helpful. Keep up the good work
Great advice and encouragement to keep on trucking along! Thanks 🙂
Omg I can totally relate! I’m just coming back to my blog after a little (much needed) break. Great tips! Thank you for sharing
These are amazing tips! I needed this for real. I find it hard to carve out time but I’m definitely going to try to use the cut down on TV method. I sometimes get in this trap like I can’t work after a certain time in the evening and I need to break that!
Exactly. When you are too tired your mind is literally blank, so if you can create some free times by cutting down on something else. That will be great. Glad you find this helpful and thanks for reading lovely
I too tend to be quite busy in my day to day. I work 9 to 5 and my job also requires me to sometimes work late and on weekends — I found that carving out some time each day to really work on my blog and building connections has been helpful, just like you said. I’d really like to guest post one day.
Thanks for sharing! x

Yes Michelle, this is a great way for us with a busy schedule to create some time for the blog. Once we get home, we tend to be tired, so while we are alert on our free time at work is the best time to brainstorm. Please, do not hesitate to email me. I would love to have you as a guest blogger. XOXO
one of these days I will be able to get to two a week!! Once in a while I get there, but I’m tryin!
Hey Sam, That is great. practice makes perfect. It will become a habit. Thanks for stopping by my dear
Great tips! It’s so hard to balance life and blogging, but planning has made the biggest difference for me personally! Especially with two little kids – I have to plan ahead if I want to get anything done 😉
Hey Brittany, I can’t even imagine. But like you said, planning ahead makes a huge difference.
I relish, result in I found just what I was having a look for. You’ve ended my four day lengthy hunt! God Bless you man. Have a great day. Bye
Go to bookstores, social gatherings, business meetings, the things you can. However, you do want to use a professional that focuses on this specific area. Make a checklist – this saves your period and energy.
