Have you ever get caught up in a trail of weight gain and not sure what to do? Here’s my story. In the last 24 months, I have gained an average of 60 pounds in college. Here’s the fun story: when I went home to Miami last Christmas a friend of mine was like Woah!!!! What have you been eating lady, I’m convinced you have eaten a whole person, this can’t be food (Laughing my butt off). I usually tell people that I don’t eat during the day, but I had to remind myself it is how you eat that matters. I struggled between long hours in school and now work. Nevertheless, I made a decision to prepare my launch on my day off. I eat more at home because I know what’s in my food.
Here’s the other secret. We don’t go as much when eating too much junk or process food which leave us bloated. Also, eating a huge amount of food at once can contribute to your weight gain. Therefore, adding things like fiber and measuring your meal portion can be a great attribute in your weight loss journey. For instance: I try to eat something every 3 to 4 hours. 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm. I can tell you that it is hard.
What exactly I tried? I tried it all. From the skinny pills commercial to meal replacement shakes. Nothing happened because my stomach cannot digest certain stuff. So, I advise you to find what’s best for you; however, you can go wrong with healthy green vegetable and natural ingredients such as: ginger, green tea, lemon, Kale, spinach, bell peppers, celery, carrots, lettuce, cabbages, eggplant you name it. In addition, you have to drink WATER, lots of it… I suggest you get alkaline water, although it can be expensive at your local supermarket, it will be rewarding. It regulates your body Ph level and in case you can’t afford it, just drink plenty of water.
Almost three months ago I weighed 185 lbs, I wasn’t shocked because a girl can see her self in the mirror. I started doing a moderate cleanse, I cheated sometimes because I work all day and I won’t cook even if you pay me. However, I still manage to lose 15 lbs with the example of the food I listed above. Starting December 1st as I was getting ready for a special event, I decided to do a full cleanse for 10 days which means smoothies/water ONLY and lost another 10 pounds. Yes, I take the smoothies for breakfast , lunch, and dinner…This is a great way to still get your vegetables. Honestly, I have a hard eating just a salad but I don’t have any issues mixing my veggies with other fruits to make smoothies. You can either choose to stop or continue after the 10 days cleanse but eat clean. I advice you to get the book from JJ Smith “10 Days Cleanse”, It is everything…
Sooo, long story short, I stopped by Ross last week after a long night shift and pick up two pairs of jeans. Oh goodness!!! I fit into a size 13 jeans coming from a size 15 and I couldn’t be happier. My goal for next year is to wear 11 and I hope you follow these tips and be cute with your baddest skinny jeans. I don’t want to keep you too long but I will put some of my quick, light and healthy recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the next post. Trust me, I know some of you doesn’t have the time in a day to anything extra. I too work long hours, but it is doable. Until next time darlings…
