How to prepare 4 quick and healthy snacks without breaking the bank

Yeah, I get it. Going to the store and grab a chocolate bar or some dry raisins may look easier than make your actual snack but it is not always in our best interest. In this post, I will share with you four quick and cheap snacks to get you ready for a long day at work or at home. Soooo, grab your pen and paper to make your list or you can always come back to our health section on the blog. Let’s begin!!!!

*Tuna Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredient:

3 Starkist tuna.( Pick the one that says low sodium)

Ingredients:

4 peppers, red and green

1 cup chopped onions

1 clove garlic, minced

1 Tbsp. olive oil

1⁄2 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. parsley

Salt and pepper

 

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350°F.

Cut the peppers in half (from top to bottom or side to side), clean the interior and rinse them out. Cut the stem from the top of the pepper (discard the stem) and If you have extra you can cut it into small dice to stuff the bigger slices.

If you don’t like raw onions, you can heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat just to make it soft. I don’t mind eating just like that. Add oregano, parsley, salt and pepper and tuna (drain the water). Mix and blend them well. Get your baking dish, and place your stuff peppers. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. I also add celery to mine.

 

 

*Apple, peanut butter and strawberries.That’s an easy one.

Ingredient:

1 or 2 Apples. 5 strawberries and peanut butter

Direction: Cut your apples to a bigger size. Spread peanut butter and top them with sliced strawberries. Snack is ready!!! Some strawberries are sweeter than others. if you don’t want have that cray taste, just spread your peanut butter on the sliced apples

 

*Deviled Eggs

Ingredients

3 hard-cooked eggs, peeled

6 tablespoons mayonnaise (try a more healthy or organic brand)

⅛ Teaspoon salt

⅛ Teaspoon pepper

Parsley

Cooking Direction

Cut boil eggs in half and place the whites on a serving platter.  Use another bowl, remove yolks and mash with a fork.

Mix with mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Fill whites with the yolk mixture. Cover and refrigerate for couple hours

Deviled eggs are great options for a nice party and can be used as great appetizer recipe for any host. If you’re looking for an easy and quick appetizer, that is a must-try.

 

*Want something sweet. Look no further. Cinnamon apple

Ingredient:

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of vanilla powder

1 teaspoon of nutmeg

2 apples, sliced

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Direction:

Get a bowl and mixed everything. I’ll use my hands to mix them well

Preheat your oven up to 350

Bake the slices for about 20 to 25 minutes or until they turn brown.

Let it cool down and serve.
