Mental Cleanse. Have you done any?

Mental Cleanse. Have you done any?

It is hard to stay on top of things and I want to remind you not to forget yourself in the picture. Here’s a list of things you can do to cleanse your mind.

First, you need to get rid of any negativity.

By choosing to be:

1- Grateful and try not to complain for the day.

2- What are you grateful for and write them down

3-Pay it forward by doing something positive

4- Declutter your home, office, email (dirty home, dirty mind).

5-Disconnect with people that always bring negativity in person or online. You don’t need that dear!!!

6-Connect with family members and friend in a phone free environment. Get to know them more.

7-take half or full day off from social media to focus on you. Do things that bring you joy.

8-Take time to meditate

9-Set a small goal and sign yourself a contract that if you accomplish it by the deadline; you will treat yourself. Write down your reward, sign it and make sure you treat yourself at the end.

10-Go for a walk. Breathe…

11- Treat yourself with three healthy meals for the day. You have been rushing to grab your coffee and eat in the car forever. You deserve it.

12- Make a favorite dish or something you wish to cook from online recipes and eat without any distraction.

13-Try different relaxation techniques (yoga, breathing, music).

14-Take a bubble bath. You can find plenty of home spa idea on Pinterest.

15-Have a pampering session(facial, manicure etc)

16-Self reflection. What is it you want to do better, how can you be better.

17- Call to cancel that monthly fees you are paying for a service you are not using. Save yourself from that headache.

18-  Rest an hour early than your actual night routine so you feel refreshed the next morning; especially if you have to go to work.

Hope this post helps you in any way for your mental cleanse.

  1. Great post! In our busy lives, it can be difficult to give yourself permission to check in on your mental health. Disconnecting is a huge help!

    1. Right Tasha, trying to go to bed an hour early really help me too because I don’t I feel super tired the next day; especially with long hours at work. Thanks for reading.

    1. You are welcome Queen. Gratitude, Gratitude. It’s like a reminder that things could have been worse. Thank you for reading

    1. Yesss. Do that. One of my teachers back in college recommended that I sign a contract and reward myself after the goal is met. It keeps you motivated

  2. Awww, so many great tips. Mental cleanses, just like physical cleanses are absolutely needed in this world where we tend to stay constantly busy. I particularly liked your advice about staying away from negative people, both in person and online. Energy shifts are real and we take on so much negativity from other people everyday. It’s good to get free of that, even if just for the day.

  3. I’ve been trying to go for more walks. It always helps clear my mind and energizes me for the rest of the day.

  4. really helpful tips! every sunday, i try not to open my computer or look at my cell phone. it’s my “detox” day and family day. we try to do activities together as a family and just enjoy the moment.

  5. For most, when the word “cleanse” or “detoxify” spring up, we think about a physical cleanse of the body. Although cleansing our bodies of toxicity is essential, a mental detox is just as important. Together, both mental and physical well-being make for an all-around well-balanced state of being.

  6. This is my first time hearing mental cleanse and this is something that I really need. thank you for sharing such a tips 🙂
